5 Items that I placed in my cart...Gone...but NOT Gone

I have 5 items in my cart which "I NEED TO PAY FOR" (one is a school text book) but the cart is empty. 

Logged out - Cart is Empty.

Logged In - Cart shows my 5 items.

30 min ago I visibly saw them in my cart and processed to pay for them...except it ended unsuccessfully with an error code.  Upon return to my cart, it was empty, but the cart still shows 5 items.  I've tried clearing my cache, 3 different browsers, the phone app...everything is awry.

I presume there is no fix, there will be no fix, and I will have to just wait it out.  Nobody from Ebay ever seems to actually respond to these questions or technical issues.  Anyone got a solution?

Buy them all separately and request an invoice with revised shipping. 

The cart alwas been messed up, it's horrible.

I'm quickly learning that Amazon is much better than ebay.  Can't wait til they're gone.
