2 step verification not working

For the last month, the 2-step verification does not work. The button is dead for a text me. The button to go on does not work at all to proceed. It says we ran into a problem and try again later. I called numerous times, and they do is give you the run around and no one there knows, not much. Why can't tech support not handle the issue instead of an agent that knows nothing about these type problems.. I have verifications setup by all my others sites, banks and Amazon and no problem but only on eBay.  They never resolve it, so after 23 years of using eBay I probably will just uninstall it and use Amazon, where everything works right.

What browsers or app versions have you tried? Any difference if you try another browser? Or if you try a private or incognito browser window, or if you disable add-ons?

I tried edge, and I am 75 and used Firefox for many years. All my banks, Amazon and many others I have no problem to add additions verifications for safety.  Still does it with all my add-ons disabled. I have a private repair company that gains access to my computer remotely, and they checked it out and said it is on eBay end. Not my browser or add-ons.  I just skip it and use Amazon more often, as I am not going to waste time trying to repair something that eBay should be doing to all uses.
