2 Account Mess

So a while back I started using a new email address (still have access to the old one but it's kinda defunct for multiple reasons).

I figured I'd make a new ebay account to use the new address. I barely used this account historically so didn't mind losing whatever buyer history I had. Huge mistake.

At some point the new account gets suspended, I think because they realized I now had 2 accounts (which, at the time, I didn't know was an issue). In the suspension thing it says I should have a message to respond to, but that account still has 0 messages received. And, as far as I can tell, there is 0 way to contact support.

Once I realize having 2 accounts is an issue I just go to change my old account to the new email address. Oh no, can't do that because there's another account associated with the email.

No problem I'll delete the other account. Oh no, can't do that because you can't delete a suspended account.

So now I'm in this limbo where I can't delete the account associated with my current email. I can't use that account either. And I can't change my old account's email to my current email.

So does anyone know what to do? I can't find any way to contact support (the support phone numbers seem to be for fraud exclusively, and there's no online customer service). Is there any way to contact eBay anymore?

And yes, I know I can just forward emails from my old one to my new one. And I know email addresses are free. This is just about making things simple on my end.

tl;dr: 1 account has the email I want to use but it suspended. Old account can't use that email because other account exists. No way to contact support.

Re: 2 Account Mess

Multiple accounts are allowed. If you had an account suspended, you may want to discretely try to find out why. Depending on the reason and type of suspension, your other accounts might be in jeopardy as well. When eBay suspends one account, other accounts that are linked might also be subject to suspension.

Of course this is a double edged sword: by contacting eBay and investigating why the account was suspended, you will likely wind up highlighting the connection to your current account(s), putting those accounts at risk.

Even if you are ultimately able to close the suspended account, that does not necessarily mean you will be able to use that email address with a different eBay account.

You should try using another email address to link with your current eBay account instead of reusing the old email.
