16.0 update

I’ve had eBay for over 20 years. I can’t buy anything or get in my account because it needs to be updated to 16.0. I have a iPhone 7+ and it will not update 16.0. Is this the end of eBay for me? I’m not getting a new phone just to spend money on eBay. Thanks

Not an ebay thing. It's an I-Phone thing. Either upgrade phones or say bye-bye to ebay (ebay is really made for buying/selling using a computer anyway- the use of a 'phone' is to just keep you busy while not working, sitting at the Dr Office etc. and then look at that 'thing' later when you're back home on the computer where you can see VERY important things like the Description, pictures bigger than an ants eyeballs etc.

Hi @cliff8464 . If you're working on an outdated device that no longer supports current versions of the eBay app, you should be able to access eBay through a web browser on your phone/tablet.

If links are automatically trying to open in the app, you can delete the app since it's no longer functioning, or change the settings in your browser preferences so links don't automatically open in the app.

If you're on iOS 15, follow eBay's instructions from this post:

If your device has iOS 15 you should still be able to get a version of the app that will run on your device

1. Delete your eBay app
2. Go to the App Store, search for eBay
3. When you download it you will see this alert, tapping download should allow you to get a version that will run on your device.

My sentiments exactly, stop trying to conduct the entirety of their life on a phone would be a start.
