Dear eBay,
Clearly you need to revert back to the "old promotions manager." Are you hearing the comments in regards to this change? Us sellers fund your company. Their sales decrease = YOUR sales decrease. And to all the eBay personal who view or intend to reply to this post, we (the sellers) fund your paycheck as well. 14-Day waiting period should be removed ASAP. Especially, since we are having to deal with a "views" count glitch on Active Manager (other any other given glitch). As an eBay seller (and funder to your company via the high seller fees we pay), I suggest you remove any waiting period for use of promoting a sale through promotion manager. OR... you will most likely lose sellers to other companies, such as your biggest rival AMAZON to make up for the profits they are losing on your site. As a matter of fact... they may be got suggestion for possible revenue supplement until you get the effect of this

All we can do is adapt to these changes. Get creative. Learn from this experience. eBay should NOT be the foundation of our businesses. As a result from gainng customers from eBay sales, those customers need marketing to build a business outside of eBay.
eBay is a great place to get cash and customers in the shortest amount of time with little to no money upfront. However, we have to remind ourselves that eBay can make changes for any reason, and they will continue. Once we figure out how to adapt to these changes, eBay will come along and make changes again.

That's fine but this change is pretty ridiculous.
Also, nearly 20% between eBay and Paypal on top of promoted listing percentages is a racket. I pay less than that at our local auction where a licensed auctioneer has to show up and work for hours to run through the items. The race to the bottom has already devastated margins, so why take tools away from those paying the bill?
I will guarantee you that overall eBay sales are down 20 to 40% as we speak as EVERYONE selling large quantities used this feature. We are down 80% and reducing the price won't fix that as the little "sale ends in 3 hours" was the motivating factor for most. Wish built their entire business on calls to action and eBay just removed the most important one.

It is imperative that they remove any waiting period for use of promoting a sale through promotion manager.
Those of us who have used this "sales tool" consistently for relists and new items have thousands of items now appearing to be over-priced.

Is this the real reason why none of the items I keep putting on sale are actually being discounted? I've attampted multiple times today to use markdown manager, and every time I do, none of the items are discounted and are marked as "Skipped Price" in the promotions reports. None of the items I'm including have had recent price changes, nor were they in another sale previously, as I relisted all of my items a few days ago.
This is really getting frustrating. Instead of making it easier for people to sell on EBAY, they're makign it more and more difficult. With every update that they release, things keep getting worse and worse for sellers as far as features and glitches. I'm a developer, and I'd lose my job if I put out work like EBAY does.

yes, this is the reason your items are 'skipped'..
here's another thought -
we either leave the prices alone and hope we can remember which items we haven't changed so we can mark them down in 2 weeks or we change the prices now, one by one, and then cope with a markdown of like 5%... ?? Not impressive..
