1/2 or .5 not accepted in street address line

I tried to set up an account, and tried to purchase something, but the eBay software would not accept fractions like 1/2 or .5 in the street address.  This made it impossible for me to set up an account for myself.  Is there a way to resolve this issue?  Thank you.

@bregoss-24

Use this USPS address verification website. click on "FInd by address", then enter your address, and press Find.

https://tools.usps.com/zip-code-lookup.htm

That will give you the correct format for your address that the USPS has in their database, which is the database that eBay uses to check addresses in the USA.

Enter your address in the correct format to match the USPS data.

My next door neighbor...she has apartments and rooms for rent...when I did the 2020 census I found out she had 1 / 2 and 3 / 4 after the number of the building....delivery people get so confused and its so funny watching them.

Try the format:

Digit(s) space 1/2

like:

99 1/2

A back house on my street has a 1/2 address, and the USPS address checker (which lacemaker3 linked to) says this format is correct.

Example:  A friend of ours, whose two car garage has a very spacious apartment over it, rents out that apartment to college students, usually two or three of them.  The address for them, as opposed to the address for the friend's home, is 435 1/2 Exeter Street.

Thanks, didn't know 123 1/2 was even a thing in the USA. Use to more common 123 B type address.

lacemaker3 I went to the USPS page but didn't see that. Thanks for posting the link.

To the OP; are you adding a space between the number and 1/2? or hyphen, such as 123-1/2.
