Did you mean:

0 results in category, when I know there should be thousands.

Anonymous
Not applicable

I keep getting 0 results in every category I try to search in. Both on the web and on the app. Today I tried searching for certain common minerals, such as tigers eye, in the category fossils, minerals, which I have done before and I know there should be thousands of products in that category.

There seems to be many having search issues, not sure why
What browser are you using?
I just used windows 10  with edge, did your exact search and came back with below screen shot

Re: 0 results in category, when I know there should be thousands.

Got 6380 results for 'tigers eye' (no quotes) in Rocks, Fossils and Minerals in Win XP & Firefox 3.6.24 starting at 'ebay.com/sch/' and choosing Rocks, Fossils & Minerals category to begin search.

I just can't make search fail like others here are reporting. It could be account related (highly doubtful), dependent on how the search is performed (from a bookmark, starting at ebay.com/sch/ like I did, etc), or might be device/browser dependent (haven't seen any clear pattern to that).

Re: 0 results in category, when I know there should be thousands.

Yes, me too for more than a few days. That is just the half of it.... Spare a thought for the seller who does not get his / her item seen or sold.  Grrrrr! I have been merrily relisting my "unseen" stuff and each time reducing the start price in order to attract interest. Easy to see in myebay that there are 0 viewers and / or watches after a few days into the listing in a popular catagory....stamps or toys and hobbies for example. Maybe they (ebay) will get around to fix it. Hope for the best out there and good luck.

BTW It seems I have a split personality. I am listed as a "pathfinder" but have been on ebay since 1998. Still looking for my path?  Maybe.

Re: 0 results in category, when I know there should be thousands.

Its a country specific bug oin ebay which has been around for a few days now. If you login to ebay via a US VPN it works fine again. Amazingly bad that they have such a serious bug for 4 days!

Pathfinder is a title for board posting only not anything to do with years on ebay .
The community staff came up with badges and titles , they mean nothing

Also seems everyone posting here with search issues is outside the USA !

Re: 0 results in category, when I know there should be thousands.

I've been having trouble with windows 7 / Chrome.

It's not showing results for sellers items, sold and unsold.  It will work, then it won't.     So this may be a related issue.

We are speculating that it may be because of the Chrome shift to HTTPS vs ebay's HTTP.

Just a GUESS though.
