This measures about 11 1/2" tall and is heavy about 3lbs 6ounces.  Does anyone know who made it?

I've read that Rookwood is almost never unmarked.

More likely Weller standard glaze (Louwelsa).

Owens Pottery also had a line called Utopian. Might be one of those. Just some ideas.

It''s Loy-Nel-Art by J.W. McCoy, about 1912. Sanford's Brush-McCoy book calls it a tankard. I just got lucky with an image search. In case anyone is interested, this McCoy named the line for his three sons, Loyd, Nelson, and Arthur.

Re: Help Identify Pitcher ... Rookwood ?

The general terminology for this hand decorated brown glazed art pottery, is 'Standard Glazed', and yes, nearly all the turn of the century art pottery companies made the stuff, Roseville, Weller, Rookwood, McCoy, Owens, with varying degrees of 'fineness'. Unmarked versions like this are most often attributed to McCoy.
