Batch scanning

Does anyone know of a batch scanning program? I'm tired of scanning on pc at a time! I want to scan at least four and have each automaticlly saved. I don't want to have to save each file myself. Let me know!!! Thanks. D

Most scanners have a batch scanning mode in their included software or its downloadable from the web. What brand and model of scanner do you have?

My scanner does it automatically too - but it can crop corners off if you don't get them dead straight so you have to re-scan. I tend to scan 3 at a time and then use my software (photoplus) to edit and save each one. I have a Hewlett Packard photosmart 2575 All in One - my new toy since my printer self distructed last week! One of my scanners is a Microtek ScanMaker 4800, You can define different scanning areas (I split it into quadrants) and then position a card into each quadrant - it then performs 4 separate scans and automatically names them. I'm not very good at positioning them though and sometime they get a bit skewed. I also have an old Epson which I love. It automatically recognises the edges of documents, scans them separately and does a terrific job of automatically correcting color. Its also super fast. It works best with three or few docs at a time and it does tend to crop the edges a bit, doesn't work very well with non-color cards so I have to scan and crop them manually or use the other scanner for my b/w cards.

Hmmm. I can scan as many cards as I want...but I do need photoshop to separate them. I believe there are a number of softward programs that will allow that. Are you still having problems. Adrienne
