i purchased an item for over $2000 and the seller sent me low quality i then returned it and the seller refunded me only 700 our of 2200 i paid.
ebay took the seller side saying i returned an item that is not the same, i want to contact my bank and charge back, but i am worried my ebay account will be suspended.
i also sell on ebay and dont want to lose this account
will that happen?
thanks.

'Charge back'...eBay does dislikes them and will notify you when you yourself do them...with a warning...and rather not so nice warning about the chargeback...in an eBay email...been there...and I am still here...LOL
I did one for a seller with like 12 items never received a few year backs...got my money back but eBay wasn't so nice. Just the not so nice email. My was for $100.+ but seller did not do tracking.
However, I am not a 3rd party seller...most of your not-so-nice feedbacks state you are a drop-shipper.
What would I do if I was a drop-shipper...don't 'open a can of worms'...and take the lost.
eBay will go into your account with a 'fine tooth and comb' to look for anything abnormal.

Dropshipping from Amazon will probably cause more problems then a charge back will.

will ebay block my account if i charge back?
I guess we're saying that that might be a trigger.

To the best of my knowledge, eBay doesn't suspend accounts for filing a chargebacks. When a buyer files a chargeback eBay doesn't intervene.
Filing chargebacks are more concerning for the seller than they are for the buyer who initiated the chargeback.
The only one who would block you is the seller you are filing a chargeback against.

no one asked you about drop shipping. if you have nothing in the topic to say dont say anything. thanks.

i also drop ship yes. i do it all. drop ship, hold stock, use FBA.
and ebay knows it.

Drop shipping is not the problem...it's other issues eBay might look for in the account.
The chargeback goes back into eBay and the funds will be taken out of the seller's account...so, yes, eBay will be doing the helping of getting the money.
A split money thing would make it so much more complicated...trying to get the remainder of the $2200. instead of the $700.

Dropshipping is fine as long as it's from a wholesale company.
Dropshipping from Amazon and Aliexpress is not OK and a policy violation.
As far as a charge back, shouldn't affect your account, but it might draw some unwanted attention to it.

Thanks for the info. I just added you to my list of sellers not to buy from on the wall above my monitor.

What was the reason for your return? Did you choose item not as described? In that case, you would have been refunded in full. Some details are missing here. Getting money back from eBay and trying to get more back with a chargeback is a bit shady IMHO. Your credit card company may not take the action you want.

Well that is a long story. you have a keen eye yes many details are missing i am returning it because the quality was not as expected. and here is where it gets tricky i got 2 items from this seller in one shipment, and somehow i clicked to return the wrong item, both items are basically the same, one was a bit more expensive then the other(auction) and the expensive one was very low quality, i know my mistake but still id expect to get the full refund on the lower cost item at very least.
i already reached out to the credit card company, AMEX - they are usually very good. if they do not and he ends up screwing me over for over $1000 ill just find another way that is a bit shady to recover my funds from this jerk

If AMEX doesn't work out, there's small claims court.
