"We ran into a problem. Please try again later." When trying to add bank account

Get error message "We ran into a problem. Please try again later" When trying to add a bank account. Been happening for 5 days in a row. 

Enter account and routing #'s.. it looks like it's going to work.. and then.. "We ran into a problem. Please try again later." 

Cleared cache and cookies. Anyone know a solution?

Same here, trying to add to my seller account and it looks like its working then doesn't. I have tried with both ways manually entering it and logging in through my bank, have tried 8-10 times in the last 5 hrs.

Same here. Almost 25 years on ebay and this is the most frustrating thing that has happened to me. Tried 3 different browsers multiple times over a two week period with no luck.

Obviously I can't sell anything and get paid until this is fixed.

Over the course of several days, I tried 3 different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, MS Edge) and the EBay Android App each with two different checking accounts, and for each by both using the logon to bank and the manual entry of routing and acct number methods.  All looked like they were going to work but then at the end "We ran into a problem. Please try again later."

Apparently Ebay doesn't want people's business enough to fix the issue.

I was in the same boat, the only way I was able to enter it was the red banner that said "update account details." Also I had to use a different bank..  Goodluck

Having this same issue. Tried three different bank accounts across multiple devices. 

Older posts I saw on here said they had to call support desk and have them add it manually. Might try that later since it doesn't seem possible for me to add my own bank account to my ebay account. SO FRUSTRATING.

I have called twice about this. I asked the last customer service person if they would please just add my account manually for me. They said they can't do that because of security reasons.  If you find a way to overcome this ebay glitch please let me know.

Not sure if this will help anyone, but I had the same problem when I first tried to add my bank account. Numerous calls didn't help. Then I read somewhere that the system is extremely picky about the address you put in and the address on file. I had ``St.'' on file while trying to put in ``Street''. Once I changed it went through without a problem.

I've been having the same problem for the last 2 weeks. It's very frustrating!!!

Well after weeks of trying it finally went through and I added a payment method!! I didn't do anything differently than before but added it with no problem today! Thanks to those that figured it out and fixed it.

I have had that issue since April 2021, Some money is stuck there and I can't withdraw them.

I tried about 50 customer support chats/calls most of them had no idea what was going on,  some of them talking about loop/bug and their technical support team working on that issue.(since 04/2021:))))))

The conclusion is that - eBay technical support team- is a team of idiots.
