"Invalid input" when trying to fill out ID number for Managed Payments

So ebay recently forced me to switch to their Managed Payments system, and herein lies the road paved to hell.

For starters I had to verify my back account through micro-deposits, sending me money in SEK to my bank account, but then asked me to verify the amount in EUR instead, which took some attempts until the system was happy.

But apparently that was not enough, and my payments are now on hold until I can verify my identify - which ebay does not allow me to do!

I'm asked to write my "ID number" connected to either my passport or driver's license - other government ID is apparently not an option, despite  being mentioned as an option on the website! But what's worse is that regardless of what I write in the box for ID-number, I get invalid input, and I got no information what's invalid around it - no info about what sort of ID number they want, how many numbers it should be etc. - nothing!

So, I write to ebay customer service, showing a screenshot of the issue. They then bounce me around, asking me to send the screenshots (again!), state that I need a passport or driver's license (which is false), then saying other government ID is okay, and then finally saying they have taken the issue to their tech team and will get back within 72 hours and that I can write them if I have any questions. That was 11 days ago! I have emailed them 3 times since with no response whatsoever, and the issue persists. Meanwhile, I have more sales being made, with more money getting put on hold that I cannot access - meaning that should I ship items in the meantime, I will literally be spending money on giving away things for free!

Has anyone else had to deal with this, and do you have a solution around it?

I’m also in Sweden and having exactly the same problem. Promised call backs that never happen. Nobody on chat has a clue, telling me I need a US drivers license or passport. Useless. My payments have been on hold since July 1st.

Try posting on the EU boards or Swiss boards as they are more informed about Payoneer and the requirements than any one here would be.

Has any of you received any response at all from ebay? I have emailed them again yesterday, and still nothing. I have tried a ton of random number combinations for the ID number, but they are all "invalid input" regardless what you type. How the hell is it possible that ebay, one of the largest companies in the world, is this incompetent with their programming and cannot even reply to a **bleep** email! I'm having to tell my buyers that I cannot ship them anything until this gets resolved, because I'm not gonna get more funds locked up into ebay's terrible system with no guarantee I'll even be able to access them at some point. This has to be worth customer service I have ever seen!

No response from ebay mailed then several times. I am now tempted to cancel all my listings.

Hope any of us gets a response. I cant chat with them and there is no phone nr.

I got through to someone there yesterday via chat who was very helpful. They apparently are aware of the problem now and said it should be sorted in 48/72 hours. We shall see…

Yeah, same here, finally! I only got so far as to add my personal number, was not asked to upload a picture of my ID or anything like that. Still a step in the right direction, even I still have not heard anything back from ebay on the matter.

It says my payouts are processing and should be availble on monday lets see how that goes.
