I was forced on this mess in early SEPT. Most of my sales are charity sales - items donated to a RR museum.
When the first mgmt pymt went thru the money went to my linked bank account not the charity. I called and spoke w/ someone in managed pymts and was told " they can't handle charity sales" " I should not be on this and he would get me off" - that never happened. For the SEPT charity sales that went thru managed pymts, I waited till all the money was transferred to my bank account and they wrote a check to the charity. FYI fees were deducted in hte am'ts I received
I was away for two weeks and towards end of Sept. I started getting ebay emails on my phone saying $xx.xx was being donated to the paypal giving fund. FYI this was the full am't of the sale NOT the net am't I actually received. Money was taken from my paypal a/c even though the sales money went to my linked bank account. This happened repeatedly into this month eventually wiping out the balance in my paypal a/c and then drawing money from my personal checking a/c, not the new bank a/c I opened for managed pymts .
it has seemingly stopped and now i am out about $300 . Has anyone else had this problem and how do i fix it?
certainly seems they should have tested the process before forcing folks to use it

Take this to this board
https://community.ebay.com/t5/Managed-Payments/gp-p/MP
You should also not be mixing sales of such types.

MP is not a proven system and it never should have been forced !! If it was any good to begin with sellers would want to opt in instead of having to be forced into it !! I think ebay went off the rails with this stupid payment method ! I refused to sign up !! Seems ebay does not mind biting the hands that has fed them to make them the billion dollar co that they are !! I do wish you luck with this horrible mess !! Regards

STOP IT. You don't know that. And it certainly isn't true. It is a program that is two years old.

You might try sending an email here: charityteam@ebay.com. If they can't help you, maybe they can steer you in the right direction.

I have been told by eBay that the email address you recommend does not exist within eBay. They also recommended not replying to that email address because it was most likely a scam. Very interesting.

Hello! I realize this was quite a while ago, but I just found your question while searching for answers to my own. Was this ever cleared up for you? I sell primarily for charity, and read somewhere that Managed Payments were not compatible with charity. I just spoke to a MP rep that just confused the issue more. I realize I need to seek out people who are actually trying to do this and see shat is and isn't working for them, thanks!

Did they ever respond to you? If so, what was the answer?
