Hi all. I am having trouble reconciling transactions with payouts. It seems payouts include multiple transactions. (My payout schedule is daily.) Looking for any advice on a simple way to see a breakdown showing (1) item, (2) sales price, (3) shipping, (4) Ebay fees, and then (5) total net amount - all in one place and separated by item? Thanks for any help you can provide.

You can get that info from the Sales Report on Seller Hub. Put in the date range you need. The transactions are broken down by each sale.

Yep... as @myhomeschooldelights is correct. Or you could do it the old-fashioned way... print your Transaction and Order.

Thank you! I have run the report but it is sorted by date which means the order, shipping label, and fees are not all together. I am trying to find a way to group everything by item so that everything that pertains to that item are listed in order. Then I'd like to match that amount for that item to a payout amount. I guess my question is really about trying to match total cost (net amount) of an item to a payout. My apologies, I'm relatively new and have started selling more so the transactions are getting jumbled together.....

This is closer to what I need, but then I still have to try to match it to payout. For example, an item sold for $150, less $19.65 for fees and less $40.44 for shipping for a total net of $89.91. But there is no payout for that exact amount because the payout includes shipping labels from another item, even though the items were ordered on different dates and my payout it set for daily. Am I missing something? thanks for your help!!!!

You are not missing anything...I don't think there is a report that contains all the details you want on one page/line......
I manually dissect the payout to reconcile my checking account....
then I assemble the item breakdown to reconcile that with the payout totals...I do not do each item....
You are looking for | Item | Item Gross | Ebay fees | Shipping | Other Fees | Payout
(with Payout being an identifying number as to which Payout it was included in) all in one report....right?

too late to edit...but it just occurred to me that since the payout addition and subtraction is done in date order, you should be able to manipulate the excel sheet to coincide with the columns that have the pertinent information if they are sorted by date because payments to ebay are recorded as negative numbers on the spreadsheet
(I am going to look into that right now...it might save me time if my theory is correct)

Yesssss!!! I know I can print the transaction page to see details but haven't found a way to easily match to the payout amount. I played with the report but couldn't get it to sort by order #, and even if I did some of the shipping labels didn't have the item order #. Per a conversation with Ebay this evening, shipping labels for UPS and Fed Ex post AFTER delivery so they are not in chronological order. USPS posts the day the label is printed. So I'm thinking if the shipping rates are comparable then I should use USPS to make the accounting easier? (and the shipping label for USPS DID have the order # on the report). Let me know if your theory is correct on the report.

I will let you know.....(might take a couple days before I get to it) I will tag you here
as a side note....don't determine your shipping just on the basis of "ease of accounting"
It is your single highest expense and you want to use the cheapest methods available.

Here's a quick 'hack' to accomplish what you need, but you need to do some extra work (I can't find a short cut or a report that has what you are looking for and it is only good for 90 Days past...
I had to black out information to comply with posting rules
https://www.ebay.com/sh/fin/payouts
You need to click the "Payout ID" to get the summary of payouts detailed....
Then Download the .csv for that ID
Start your new excel sheet with whichever one you want to start with.....
go back and click the next Payout ID in the column
Download and Open
Copy only the lines with entries in them and Paste them into your original Sheet (leaving a blank line between the Payout ID's shaded blue in example)
Take the values and add them up in the newly created blank line. That will total your payout and the lines above that line break have the details of that payout. (Yellow)
Here are the additional columns with values for your other categories that are 'cut off' the previous screen shots
That gives you what you want...Once you get started it goes quicker than you think...

Wow, thank you so much. I will give it a try, I really appreciate your help!!!!

I just discovered an ebay generated breakdown of one of my payouts. Go to the Sellers Hub>Payments Tab>Payouts. Your payouts for the last 90 will show up. There will be a payoutID number for each payout. Click on that number and it will take you to a detailed payout page showing all items included in that payout.
HOWEVER, my most recent payout (from 3 days ago) does not have the detailed breakdown yet. That payout was seller iniated (I opted to take the payout earlier than scheduled) so maybe there is a delay in getting the details because it was seller initiated. Or perhaps seller initiated payouts don't get a breakdown (which doesn't really make sense). Or there was a glitch of some sort.
I did try using the report, but the spreadsheet had the same payout ID number for all my payouts so I could not use that to match items to the payout.
I do hope that works for you as well so you don't have to create a work around in order to get info everyone selling her should have readily available.
