offers on Media items & ebay gift cards

Can I use ebay gift cards to except offers on media items - Laserdisc, Blu-ray, DVD, etc?

If you are asking if you (seller) can accept Ebay Gift Cards as payment towards certain media that i would say yes. Typically the buyer would input that info on there side of the sale where you do not have to process anything. There are some limitations on what can be used to purchase using Ebay Gift Cards and media is not one of them.

Thank you  for your quick reply, I only buy items on ebay - I quit selling in 2020. The reason I asked this question was that I have previously tried to buy DVDs / Laserdiscs using an ebay card - but had to ask the seller to cancel the order because I could not pay for the item when using an ebay gift card for some reason.

Did you look up the card to see if there was a balance on it? If not, the link provided will direct you where you can.

Everytime I try to except a seller's offer or counter the offer - paypal comes up for me to sign in and pay (which is what I "used" to do. I started using ebay cards and closed my paypal account - but the paypal connection to ebay still exists for some reason. I'm able to use an ebay card to just click Buy It Now & pay with a gift card - but not if I try to buy the item using a best offer. I'd like to be able to make offers or except a seller's offer like before when I  was using paypal. I need to know if there is a way to do that instead of having to keep declining offers from sellers.

I'm not a seller, I only use my account to buy items that I want when I find them listed on ebay in a price range that I am willing to pay. I used to be able to except or counter-offer when I used paypal - but ever since I closed my paypal account and started using ebay gift cards - I have not been able to use the best offer, because  my account still goes straight to paypal - I don't know how to get rid of the connection between ebay and paypal - when my paypal account has been closed.

It seems like the OP is asking if he, as a buyer, can use eBay gift cards to pay for those things.

If you are trying to make or accept best offers eBay does not allow eBay gift cards to be used. You have to either use PayPal or a credit card to pay for Best offers.

eBay changed the rules a couple months back to force buyers to put up a payment method when making or accepting Best Offers. They say it is to cut down on non-paying buyers but all it has done is cause buyers and sellers to quit using Best Offer. You also can't use Apple pay, Google pay, PayPal pay in 4 either for Best Offers.
