Outrageous and they won't have my business.  BOYCOTT THEM.   There is no way giving your bank account information, it doesn't take a nuclear physicist to figure that out.  PayPal was just fine and so I guess I will not sell and I will not buy anymore from this company as it has gone WAAAAYYYYY too corporate and in these days of hacking, and criminal cyper minds NO WAY.

You average a sale every three years or so, why would anyone participate in boycott for you? You have nothing to lose while many here count on eBay to help make ends meet.

You can still use Paypal to buy- but to sell you need to register for MP..

You may "boycott them" if you so desire.

eBay has to have a way to pay you.

eBay is now required to comply with "know your customer", and "anti money laundering" regulations.

Having the eBay income works out for me. I have a checking account that is strictly for eBay selling. Online, paperless, free.

We have to evaluate our own individual situation, and decide what is best.

Some will stay. Some will leave.

By the way,  there is no need to announce it. You can just leave quietly, and close the door behind you on the way out.
