+7 days for payouts.. worse fees than ever. 0% default standards are a joke... sales messages dont contain what you sold or an address. STILL no access to customer support?!

Is anyoneout there actually making money anymore? "Shills be quiet."

Honestly the problems on ebay have become the same as dealing with online poker payouts...

mananged payments as trustworthy as online poker

They are holding over $2500.00 of my money right now! I've done $268,685.60 worth of business with them.

Managed payments is a mess!  The system doesn't work!

When I was forced to "sign up" I sent all the info they requested.........this SAME info has been with them for YEARS already and also with PayPal when I was using them. It worked for YEARS! And made a lot of money.

Anyway......sent the info, set up for daily payments......which turned out to be 5 days......but it was a consistent 5 days, so I could live with that. UNTIL they said there was something wrong with my banking info. Which has worked for YEARS........until now.

Now I'm doing the "support shuffle dance" with them....been doing it for a week now.   Online help is a joke, online chat service is worse than a joke, tried getting a call back from them when THEY had the time.......called at 8:00PM......phone rang once, I.D. said eBay.........answered and they hung up on me. Then got an email stating they tried to call but I didn't answer. Now, I have to start the whole "support shuffle dance" again.

I'm giving it until Wednesday..........then I will refund the buyers and GET AWAY from eBay as fast as I can!!!!!

Other wise, I will get it straightened out...............get my payments......settle with my customers.........and THEN GET AWAY from eBay as fast as I can!

RUN........while you can! Before you lose any money to them!

@catloaftrains   The delay in getting paid is NOT eBay's fault ... it is either the Buyer's funding source or YOUR bank that delays when you get paid ... and of course Sellers have no proof of where the truth lies ...

eBay improved their cash flow by over 40 days in some cases.  With PayPal they had to wait for a 30 (+/-) day billing cycle to end and then 15 or so days to get paid by Sellers via PayPal.  Now they skim their fees off before Sellers are paid.  Sellers on the other hand have suffered with delayed payments compared to having their money instantly available with the PayPal Payment Processor model.

Sellers have been the tail end wagging the dog for quite some time ... now the dog has gotten a lot bigger ...

Wait. You say it’s not eBay? Then why - in my case- eBay shows it’s holding my money ? When they finally release it to my bank it shows up right away so it’s not my bank. Why did PayPal make your money available right away? And i don’t see any difference in the fees. I thought they were going down. Seems that 11.5- 12.5% plus .30 each sale is pretty high. Postage is going up every 6 months it seems. Hard to make any money considering all your costs. As a store subscriber i pay a fee every month - you think the percentage of each sale would be more reasonable. If I’m correct wasn’t it 11% total with eBay & paypal combined? Now it’s more AND i have to wait for my money.  Then they charge for “promoted items” - is that so yours is closer to the top? What happened to the way it was? eBay is making bank off sellers and competition is so bad the buyers have it made - if you are a reputable seller.

I totally agree with you. The fees are ridiculous and they charge you to “promote” your item if you want it at the top of the list. Otherwise sometimes i can’t even find my item. And I’m not crazy about waiting for my money. I’ve been selling on eBay for over 10 years and seem to be making less money as time goes by.

This is not a bank problem, this is a ebay problem. I sell on etsy, who uses Adyen as well and when you ask for a transfer in funds today ALL of it is there in 24 hours in my account, been this way for over 2 years!!!!!  NO BULL! I refuse to do managed payment because of all this money holding **bleep** ebay is doing, is just a any way to play and abuse the seller!!!!!

Try figuring out how much $$$ you get from a sale.

You can't.

eBay is like California. Full of nutz and burning to the ground

I am not a fan of mp.  Just sold a $13.99 item with a eb fee of $2.03, which is a 14.5% fee rate.  Since eb takes my fees from pending funds I can not pay for fees with my cash-back credit card of 1.5%.  Total  fees of approximately 16% for me on this item.

Spoken like a person who has been an eBay member for SIX DAYS! And like one who has never been to California, either.

I was just entered into managed payments on Sept. 8.  I made a sale on the 9th and got paid on  the 11th.  I  made several sales on the 13th and got paid on the 15th.  I don't think that is bad at all.   When I transferred money from my PayPal to my bank account it took 1-2 days, so this is not better or worse.

So people are mad because ebay does not give them their money.  The credit card company owes you the money not ebay.  If ebay is waiting to be paid by the credit card company why should they pay you.  They don't even have your money yet.  You act like the minute you sell something the money is yours RIGHT NOW.  No business in the world is like that.   When I pay the grocery store with a credit card they don't get the money for 24 hours to 3 days.  Why are you so special that credit card payments should be yours instantly?   Banks and credit cards are not instant money.  Cash in your hand is the only instant money in the world.  Even checks have to clear the bank first.

Its not whether its right or wrong, or why should the credit card company give money right away or whether all other businesses have to wait for the credit card to clear or whether you get to take your food home from the grocery store.......... the problem is that Paypal IS the industry standard for online sales payments. Has been for years. Ebay replaced it with something that is below industry standard and charges more for it with no appreciable benefits to its sellers or buyers. Only one entity benefits- EBAY- and that benefit is at the costs of its customers-- sellers. Period. End of question.  One poster correctly stated that ebay has improved their cash flow by 40 days- that is correct- and they did it at the cost of my cash flow. period. If their cash flow is so improved- then why cant they provide at least the same or better product as Paypal?

Not to mention the loss of sales that MP has created by forcing sellers to take their $ offsite. When $ was in Paypal - people spent it again on Ebay- wonderful circle of economics. NOw my profits go off ebay to a checking account and are spent on other venues instead of ebay.  My wife has not bought a thing on ebay since she moved her listings to Macari- now as she sells there and the money remains there- she buys there. See is just one person in a natural trend that will prove detrimental to ebay in the long run......

Ebay please get your act together for the sake of your customers
