managed payments

Is it mandatory to move to managed payments.  What if I do not sign up for this service. I cannot find any way to contact a human at ebay.

There is no opt out...when eBay requires you to sign up for MP, you can delay it briefly for a short period of time, but thereafter your selling privileges will be suspended and your ability to list/re-list will be gone until such time as you either sign up for MP or move along and go elsewhere to sell...

At some point, you will not be able to sell on eBay.

There's nothing "a human at ebay" can do for you.

If eBay has requested that you sign up you can procrastinate until the day they say "or else".

The or else would be losing the ability to sell on eBay.

Yes. If you don't sign up for MP you can't sell any more items on ebay. They will suspend your selling ability. Your active listings would evetually end.
