Ebay is still changing the date when they plan to send my money to my bank it was today the 8th and they owe me plenty of money, now it reads the 9th~ in just an hour it changed to the 9th~ these sales were over the weekend, I feel ebay is stealing our money someway~

I will also add that my sales have flopped since I have resisted Managed Payments. Ebay has there algorithims set to favour Ebay Plus listings and now most likely Managed Payments sellers. Once again, the workers are the ones who are forced to jump through the hoops of the mega corporations....grrrrrr!!!!!!

managed payments

Long time seller and I miss getting paid daily. Feeling very deceived by the Daily payout. It is not daily at all! then tack on 3 to 5 days to clear your bank. This is severely affecting my cash flow. Why eBay chose to do this during a pandemic is beyond me??? I am not surprised that they worded things in a way that made it look like they were doing us all a favor, the only favor they did was to themselves.  Also they claimed sales would increase under managed payments because their are more ways for buyer to purchase, this has not happened, in fact my sales have slowed down it seems.

Very disappointed. Big Business wins again and small business takes it up the woohoo.

I agree. Ive only been on managed payments for just a week now. They have sent out two "payouts" but so far only one has cleared my bank. So Im still waiting on about $200 to clear my bank and still almost a grand hasnt even been paid out yet. The one payout I have received took two days for them to payout and two days for my bank to clear so I finally got my funds on the fifth day of the sale. What a bunch of **bleep**. As mentioned earlier ebay dont payout during the weekend or holidays and my bank dont either. I know it sounds petty but its hard to keep track of sales vs payouts. Especially when they start adding up. That money could easily be "lost" and I wouldnt even know it. I know its all recorded under "payments" but its just one more thing to have to try and keep track of so I dont get f**ked.

After 18 years and $140,000.  In sales we are closing our Ebay store because of “Managed Payments”

Ebay has had change after change and not for the better. Our sales has drastically went down.  At this point, as our listings end, that is it... sad it has come to this but we cannot keep having 500 items on and only make enough to give them fees ... because of ‘NO VISIBILITY’

managed payments

Update to my previous comment. Now that I have been on managed payments for a few weeks i did notice some changes. The payouts are coming in faster and more accessible than at the beginning but I think my bank is just processing them more faster now. But its still just so hard to keep track of them along with everything else. I am now getting regular payouts M-F and at first it took a few days for my to process them but Im now getting them the next day. With the exception of weekends. Neither eBay or my bank still do no processing on the weekend. So Monday morning I get a good payout from eBay but dont get access to it until Tuesday from my bank. So it is faster but still not as good as using Paypal. Ive seen others bring up the idea of "no visibility" for their items if they never opted in to managed payments. I think my experience has been quite the opposite. Before I opted in I got a lot of views on my items and most would sell within a week or less (some of that has to do with me as I dont like to sit on anything longer than a week). Now that I have opted in my views are crazy low. Ive been selling for almost five years and can usually sell anything in under a week. An now Im struggling to sell normal things for less than anyone else in a week. Im trying to figure it out but Im not doing anything differently than I did before this managed payments. So there has to be some thing they switched up for that change to happen.

Hell, I'm still angry that you can't leave negative feedback for buyers LOL. Much less this managed payment debacle.

"So there has to be some thing they switched up for that change to happen. "

Like folks out there hanging onto money they were spending on ebay????

Folks in the general items categories have been complaining about  sales for a couple of mounts now.

Just saying.

Banking Credit Card companys are taking 1 business day the electronic transfer is the same anything else is sitting in someones account period . To show the actual account the.money is in would be honest . The fake ebay account is not accessable to the owner of the funds .

we all need to get together to fight managed payments so that we will have our choices back to use paypal if we wish to.
I went to the attorney general of california because this is where ebay is based , and i filed a complaint against ebay for forcing us to give access to our bank accounts and not giving us the choice of how to receive payments , he indicated that if he finds this is a broader problem for the consumer , he may do something about it . you all need to go and file a complaint with the california attorney general for what ebay is doing to us , show him this is not the problem of an individual , this is the problem of many many people , we need to complain about the way they are victimizing us 1. they are forcing us to allow them unfettered access to our bank accounts 2. they are holding our money and requiring us to ship items while they play with our money 3. they are forcing us to give refunds / take returns often letting buyers keep items 4. they are forcing us to relist our items automatically , this is a predatory business practice , illegal takings , and purposely hurting small businesses that will not survive these requirements .This is stealing hands down , and if we don't fight it , no one else will

I finally got to the point where they forced me to opt in.  It ticks me off that we have to pay the shipping charges before we receive the payment from the buyer, instead of the other way around.  Ebay just floats that money for days.  The shipping charges are still coming out of my Paypal account though and not out of the bank account I connected to eBay.  Am I doing something wrong?
