how to cancel auto pay, so I will need to enter my password to complete the transaction?

I have been trying to figure out how to cancel auto pay, but eBay has made it very difficult to do this.

Buyers cannot cancel auto pay, only the seller can do that before you bid or buy.

That's an option for the seller to use or not, the buyer can't change it.

Have a great day.

Hi @jman5845

The launch of eBay's Auto-pay is a good feature to cut down on Unpaid items on Auctions and the Offer feature.  It also cuts down on certain type scams targeted for newer Sellers.

There are two settings on each Selling account where members can turn those functions OFF.  Some Sellers don't even know those settings have been added to their accounts.

You can always message Sellers and ask them if they will turn those settings off before you send an offer or place a bid.
