They ALWAYS show that (being wrong, but they do). The 1099's don't show up until Jan 30/31 as required (and has been the case since Managed Payments (and even Paypal before them)

@stainlessenginecovers is correct
that is the 'default' message until the required due date...if that same message is there after the 31st I suspect you're not getting one. (although I would not just rely on that, use your own records)

Hi devon@ebay . Gonna keep pinging you when I see confusion over this. 😁
Hoping with enough reports the product team will change that misleading message and use different messaging for the period of Jan 1 - Jan 31 each year.

I find it a bit ridiculous that it takes so long to get a 1099-K from ebay. Does anyone know if the 1099-K would be the same overall income amount that is located in your seller hub > Reports > Adjust to last year. From there it tells you your total: order income amount, Refunds, expenses and net transfers. I would assume the total order sales/amounts would be the number you would put on the 1099-K, correct? Or no?

"I would assume the total order sales/amounts would be the number you would put on the 1099-K, correct? Or no?"
Who do you mean by that red highlighted word, "you"? Do you mean you and other individual eBay sellers?
If so, you are mistaken.
eBay issues 1099-K forms for people who sold on eBay's platform. eBay sellers do not create their own 1099-K forms.
For the recently completed calendar year 2024*, eBay is required to issue a 1099-K form for each seller who sold $5,000. That number includes item selling prices and postage that buyers paid.
Sales taxes that your buyers paid are not counted toward that $5,000 figure.
If eBay sellers refunded any money to their buyers, those amounts are not counted toward that $5,000 either.
I think eBay will be issuing hundreds of thousands of 1099-K reports no later than the date the IRS requires: January 31.
*BTW, looking forward one year, for 2025 that threshold will be reduced to $2,500.00.
In 2026 and future years, the threshold will be $600.00.
