I got a message announcing eBay is terminating PayPal payment methods......Really. Th only method is through your linked bank account.
I am not happy about this.. checking account fees will go up due to increased activity, and I bet if there is a dispute they will reach in and take from you account.
This is too much access.............................

ebay and Paypal did not renew their contract, so ebay went with Adyen to be their payment processor. Payments will now go to your checking account so you will need to provide your social security number and a checking account number by the deadline given to you. If you do not, eventually you will not be able to continue selling on ebay. All sellers will eventually be in Managed Payments by the end of 2021.
Instead of daily payouts, you can opt for weekly payouts. That would give you 4 deposits a month from ebay.

I opted into Managed Payments during the Fall of 2019. Current situation: nothing nefarious going on. Good luck.

Paypal doesn't want to keep their contract with eBay. That's why there is a change.

A buyer can still use paypal as a payment.

For whatever reason, eBay, and PP did not renew their contract where PP processes payments.
eBay is now using Adyen to process payments. Adyen does this for many sites.
I opened an additional checking account for eBay Managed Payments. I am fortunate that my Credit Union does not limit, or charge fees on transactions. In, or out.
In 17 months eBay has debited my account 1 time. That was for $0.30. A buyer requested a cancellation. The buyer was refunded by me from the payment that they had made, but I did not have any other available/pending/processing funds, so the transaction fee was debited.
eBay/PP has always had the ability to snatch our funds back for whatever reason., so not really a change there. Sweep your funds immediately, makes no difference. They could go to the backup source, or on to "collections" if needed.

Have you been living under a rock and not reading any of the many, many announcements going back 2+ years?

I missed the weekly payout option, I wonder if they get hacked and your bank account info is lost and money is withdrawn if they would accept responsibility for my loss?
I don't like bank account and SSAN in one database... (I know my bank has it that way)
Thanks

It blows my mind that someone can be actively selling and running business somewhere for months or years and not be aware of the basic winds of change. Many have also probably missed the announcement that Paypal fees are going up in August, so here ya go>

there is an assumption of trust that eBay and Ayden have acceptable levels of security to safeguard the customer account and SSN data that they are entrusted in.
