eBay Is Stealing My Money. Not In My Bank, Not In PAYPAL. Do I Have To Sue To Get It?

On my last two sales, buyers paid with PAYPAL, but I have NOTHING, thanks to Mismanaged Payments.

The totally incompetent ebay, after providing my bank account over and over and over, even sending email scans of a letter from the bank and a cancelled check still can't verify my account.

Phone calls, in which I am LIED to by various people saying that it has been taken care, no problem, have not resulted in eBay GIVING ME MY MONEY.

My bank account account number is not classified, PAYPAL had NO PROBLEM with it, but of course, they are competent people that don't constantly change things.

eBay knows the name of my bank, they say so, many times.

eBay thanked me for signing up as though I had a choice.

They blocked me from listing unless I did.

They just can't leave WHAT WORKS alone.

And, They couldn't care less how much trouble it causes for people.

It took me just a handful of minutes to sign up for Managed Payments.  I've even changed my bank account after signing up.  It was a simple process.  Not to say that MP is a snap for all, but I'd start by looking at what you are doing or failing to do before assuming that eBay is "stealing" $100 from you.  By all means, if you would like to (attempt to) sue eBay to get your $100, have at it.  I think that the easier route is to submit the necessary information to enable the payments.

And what is the problem?

Is it you dont get it fast enough??

Or the payments to your bank are not going though?

It is the responsibility of each seller to actually read and update themselves with how MP actually works.  One would think since this program is all about your money it would be something one would take the time to do instead of winging it and assuming things.  Facts are important.

Instead some choose to throw out serious accusations without taking the time to actually learn how the program functions.  Your last two sales were TODAY.  MP does NOT process payments on the weekend and they do not make transfers to our banks.  This is by design.

This may help you a lot.  It is a simple graphic that is very informative on this part of the process.

They only had the freedom to move more sellers into the program when their contract with PP ended regarding the split of the two companies in July 2020.  As of June there was only about 42,000 sellers in MP, each month after that they have moved in quite a few sellers.  This will continue for the next several months until they have reach their goal sometime in 2021.

If you feel that requiring the majority of the 7M sellers to enter the program all at the same time would somehow be an advantage or something Ebay should have done, I can think of all kinds of reasons what that would be been nothing but a disaster for all.

No... it's not instant like PayPal. And before you get more anxious next week, 'Daily Payout' does not mean 'next-day payout', either. It'll probably be Wednesday or so, but then will appear in your bank account. Good luck.

Latest stats that I've seen ...

During the third quarter of this year, eBay managed payments for over 20 percent of on-platform volume, with over 340,000 active sellers enrolled in the program worldwide.

Yes, thank you.  But that isn't 20% of sellers unless we have lost millions of them.  Because that would mean we have less than 2M sellers.

You would think so and with any competent company it would have been.  After several phone calls, they are still holding my money.

Seem that the voided check scan was attached to a letter from the bank and that confused them and so now I have to send a scan of just the check.

I have connected this account to another bank NO PROBLEM, I have connected it to PAYPAL, NO PROBLEM.

Only the incompetence of eBay has the holding my money and of course I get no interest while they are doing it.

So, here I am sending AGAIN what I sent on 7 October, without the letter.

When I was called by eBay a week ago the girl said everything was fine, SHE LIED.

When I talked to a person in the Managed Payments section, he said it would be fixed in 48 hours, that was a week ago, HE LIED.

So my faith in what I was told today is almost zero, but I'm still doing it because THEY HAVE MY MONEY as a hostage.

It isn't 20% of sellers ... it is 20% of on-platform volume which I would take as meaning that 20% of the money for solds is being processed by MP.

Which conversely means that 80% of ebay's sales volumes is still not being handled by MP.

Which makes sense because there are still a lot of countries that they haven't even started on. I like to read the Payment section of the Ebay News to see their latest press announcements on Managed Payments for updates on where they are headed next.

I'm not sure I understand.  Are you saying that the 340,000 represent 20% of the sales on Ebay?  Out of 25+ million sellers worldwide or 7m sellers in the US??  Some of that 340k are international sellers.  I'm just trying to understand, I'm not trying to do anything else.
