eBay Hold on Payment

Recently I sold an item which was payed for relatively fast. when the payment was sent PayPal had put a hold on the money until I set a tracking number, stating that the money will be removed off all when I did so. Yet, once I set the tracking number, eBay had then put a hold on the money saying it would hold it for one day. It has been two days since then. I’m not sure if I’m just being impatient, but advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you are a new seller, as your profile indicates, you read incorrectly or were given incorrect information. Once you provide a valid tracking number, the funds will be released to you one day after tracking shows DELIVERED, not one day after you ship.

This is assuming you are not under managed payments which is implied since you mentioned paypal.

I see that you're not in Managed Payments yet, so your money will appear in PayPal. I agree with @Anonymous that your New Seller status is the reason for the hold. I'd not expect a delivery scan to release the funds immediately, but might expect that you're also under the 21-Day New Seller Hold.

I’ve been a seller on this particular account for over a year (20 years on my other account) and STILL have the holds. Paypal and Ebay cannot figure out why and cannot fix it. To make matters worse, I have to message Paypal EVERY SINGLE TIME an item is delivered to release the funds as it doesn’t release for me like it's supposed to after 1 day. Hopefully you don’t have to go through this inconvenience.

Check out the screenshot below. Look for this on your account to see if you have the 1-day hold or the 21-day (ugh) that @mtgraves7984  is referencing. Again, I hope yours is not broken like mine.

sure  u should  wait a bit ,     I was using  post office money orders , That still toook a while in the mail , But the sellers were very  polite in waiting , Just  they did not ship there items, untill they got the money order in there hands ,   That was fine by me , As long as i got the item,     Thank u,  D,B.

Hello, I have used the tracking number that was given to me when shipped and on UPS it says it was delivered on the 25th. It is the 27th and PayPal still says its being shipped. What should I do?
