Hello!
I have been using eBay/PayPal for a very long time and I am suddenly running into some really unfortunate purchasing errors.
Every time I try to buy anything I'm hit with "Error Processing Payment" or "Something Went Wrong" (screenshots are attached to this post). I had not changed any of my settings except I had to update my shipping address. There is one particular purchase I keep getting stonewalled on (a seller i have bought from a lot previously), though after a "compliance review" a different purchase was allowed (different seller).
I contacted eBay about it and they said they saw no limitations on my account and that the items I was trying to purchase should be able to ship to me just fine. I contacted PayPal, and even though I had a dispute open (not a transaction through eBay) they said it should not impact my purchasing process on eBay.
More context: I live in South Korea. I moved to a new address here, but my billing address for my payment methods are in America because I keep active bank accounts there. I haven't had any problems in my 2 years here shipping to a Korean address while billing in America.
ALSO. Even though I'm getting these errors, the charges are made on my accounts (PayPal/Credit Card/Bank Account) but then get reversed later by the various outlets. So I'm really, really not sure what's going on. I have also checked with the seller twice now and they definitely don't see any attempts at purchasing from me.
Is there any insight someone could give me?
