We were tired of people purchasing items, then never paying for them. So, we changed the payment policy to require instant payment. Well, since we have many items that have to ship via truck freight, we can not require instant payment. So, we changed the payment policy back to what it was. Now every time we go to relist items, it says that they all have invalid payment policies.
We have to scroll down to the payment policy in each listing, click to edit it, then immediately click to save the changes. Then the listing will turn purple (allowing us to relist it), then we move on to the next listing (we do this in the bulk relisting area).
Why are we having to do this?? To say it is beyond annoying is an understatement. We make no changes to the payment policy, but clicking edit, then save changes removes the problem (remember that this will be for anywhere from 20 to 50+ listings at a time). We should not have to do this. There are so many issues that we keep finding with the eBay website, that we wonder why we stay (other than no one has bothered to come up with an actual competitive website).
We would create a separate payment policy for freight shipments, but eBay won't let us (because we tried to use the same PayPal account - totally stupid). We were just curious why the error is happening.
