Why is my payout "declined?"

Since we moved over to managed payments, we haven't had any problems getting the money paid to the checking account. Yes, it takes too long, but the money has arrived. Until today.

Today, it declined a payout. There is nothing on the Payments pages explaining WHY the payout was declined. Since all the other payouts have gone through, what's different about this one? There's been no e-mail explaining what's going on, no note on the ebay page of an issue with any of the payments, nothing. I've scoured the Community Board, but I'm not finding any answers as to why payouts are declined. 

Does anyone have the answer or know where I can find the information?

Hi, tyler@ebay, same problem is happening today, my (and many other sellers') payout has just been declined.

"On Dec 02, 2020 we tried sending you a payout amount of $xxxx, but we ran into a problem with your bank account." My bank cannot see this payment coming, and there were no changes to my account.

Can you please let us know when will the issue be fixed, and once it's fixed is the payment going to be sent, again, right away?

Dec 02 ... same "declined" message.   Nov 30 they made a deposit with no issue. No changes made. Dec 02 I get a "declined" message.  Called the bank and they said they have no record of an attempted deposit and nothing remotely close to my account number in that amount either.  Clearly the issue is on the eBay side.  Waiting on a call back  (queue is 80 minutes long).  Maybe that is a hint that eBay is having issues?  I have never seen the queue wait time be that long.

Same issue here as above with the declined message.  When I go to view the issue, it goes to the problem on our end page.  Must be an outage on eBay payouts.

The thing that keeps me motivated to list my games is the day I can close my account. I feel bad for people using this place as a business. They must like punishment.

I’m glad to find this thread... Facing the same problem despite many successful payouts and absolutely no changes....simply they ran away with our funds 🙄🙄

Same issue. No problem with daily payout for the past couple of months and now declined today. My bank information is correct and never changed. Can't even get ahold of support. I need my capital back to reinvest in my busines purchases please.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one getting decline for a payout today. Still sucks but hope Ebay fixes the problem.

Payment issue happened to me this morning for the first time since being forced into Managed Payments in August.  Managed Payments are late sometimes, and skip a day sometimes, but never have I received the following message:

Your payout didn't go through.  On Dec 02, 2020 we tried sending you a payout amount of $_____, but we ran into a problem with your bank account. Please check to see if the bank account information you entered is correct or contact your bank for details.

For the record, I haven't changed a thing with my bank, nor have I changed the banking information Managed Payments has for me.  There is no glitch with my bank or bank account.  This is an issue with Managed Payments which they need to fix promptly!

Ebay has ruined itself with its own bad decisions ... And sellers are leaving in droves!

It happened to me this morning. I had two separate payouts coming in this morning. The first one was declined and seconds later the other payout went through in my account.  Has to be a glitch from Ebays end since they are pulling all triggers. Tomorrow will tell me if I stay afloat with Ebay or not. If received, the payout I will be satisficed. If not I am switching over to the webstore.com

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one with this at least. I have the same problem.

Get your **bleep** together, eBay. I'd much rather have PayPal take the extra 0.1% fee and have a competent company handling it. 🙄

This morning it declined my payout too. I've never had any issues with it being declined until today.   I called my bank and they said the issue was definitely not on their end.
