My first 2 orders went from processing to completed in 24 hours. My next few have passed the 24 hour mark and are still stuck in processing. Paypal can process an order instantly but MP takes days? Something is seriously wrong here...

Didn't PayPal front us the cash? There's a delay for PayPal's upstream card processor to get the cash from the cards over to PayPal, as PayPal is really just another merchant account.

Depends on how the buyer pays.
When I accepted credit cards on one of my web sites, if they paid using American Express, sometimes it would take a week to process the payment.

They fronted the cash, but the payments weren't stuck in processing for hours on end unless it was something stupid like an e-check.

For what it's worth, I've never had even 1 order go from Processing to Completed in 24 hours. Who do you know?

PayPal had/has trust in the CC companies paying them when a presented payment was/is accepted. Seems eBay's MP system, doesn't have that same trust.

So how do I know when to ship if eBay doesn't have the confidence the money is there? Makes me wonder what the same day and 1 day shipping people are doing. I guess they just hope they don't lose too much money?

I ship the next on all of my orders. When buyer pays with credit or debit card On eBay Adyen Will request authorization from the bank issuing bank. Once transaction is authorized/approved Adyen will get paid and funds will be transferred to you thru managed payments. This is no different when you to Wally World and swipe your card at the terminal to pay for the stuff you bought. Unless the card is declined, Wally World will get paid in a couple days just like sellers in Managed Payments do.

And if you ever look at your credit card statement after you've made a purchase, you'll see a "Pending" section that shows the payments that have been initiated but haven't cleared yet. They'll be there for a couple of days until they finally clear, but that amount will be deducted from your available credit the moment you swipe your card to make the purchase.

Those expecting MP to function like PP will be forever disappointed. MP just isn’t structured like PP. That should have been known to everyone coming into MP if they read the policy pages Ebay gave us links to in the emails. Many times I might add.
Many are disappointed in how MP processes payments and transfers and sometimes even assume it is a bug. It is not. It is the current design of the program. So continuing to try and fight it is only going to bring you added stress and frustration that doesn’t need to be there.
MP processes Pending Funds in 1-2 Business days. It will then move into your Available Funds and transfer on the next Business day if you do Daily Deposits [poorly named]. If you do Weekly Deposits, then it will transfer on the next Tuesday. Transfers take 1-4 day. The larger the bank the more likely your transfers will happen faster. Smaller more local banks may take a bit longer. Once MP releases the transfers they go into the ACH system and they no longer have any control over those transfers, the banking system does. So once your transfer enters the ACH system, if it is slow to get to your bank, contact your bank and try to find out why.

This will be my last year selling on eBay. Once my inventory is out, I am out. Payments that took 24 hours are now taking 48 hours. 4 days if before the weekend.
Your PayPal money was there right now, not in 3-4 days. For a small fee, you could have the money transferred, instantly. Without the standard transfer, 24 hours. None of this, "waiting 48 hours". With the pocket change that you save that you can find between your couch cushions, or under your car seat, this is hardly worth it. There are some items that you are actually charged more for, and this is the lesser value items that you might as well take up to the thrift store and donate at this rate. One eBay seller pointed out on YouTube that sells sports cards. There is some crucial things eBay did not disclose.
Sometimes, I feel that eBay is trying to find a more legal way to dictate their sellers money- transfer of wealth. I guess just research the lawsuits that eBay and PayPal had to pay out in the past and make your own perspective of things. I guess I just slammed PayPal after praising them, but I would rather still have my PayPal as a payment method.
Needless to say, managed payments and Ayden can go suck eggs.

Ironically there is no reason why they couldn't process the money faster. I got a payout on Christmas day despite it being a bank holiday. eBay probably just wants to hold on to the money so they can give it to hedge funds that short stocks and profit off misery.

I use Stripe Payment for processing payment on other sites. You can actually log into your Stripe account and see, line by line, the verification process and it's normally under 3 hours and the money is in your bank account later that day or the next day. There is no reason why Ayden isn't processing this quick.
