Why does it take so friggin long to sign up for managed payments?

I completed sign up 5 days ago.

Still not "activated".

I've had a biz account with paypal for over 11 years and was able to use it the same day.

I've contacted eBay twice and they can't tell me how long it takes.

Why should it even take this long? It is 2020, and computers can do things within nanoseconds.

When I finally spoke to the MP team, they said "it can sometimes take up to a month".
What? Is someone across the ocean just sitting in a cubicle pressing buttons?

It should not take this long, and I am quite upset at how lazy eBay has become for their internal processes.

A company of this size should not take up to a month to do something that should be 100% automated.

It's called "biting off more than you can chew". Several months ago it was "they'll have most signed up by the end of the year". Now it's "sometime in 2021".  They're less than 1/2 finished yet.

Because it's a **bleep** show. Took me three weeks to get my bank account through and only after I got a letter from the bank for eBay. My bank statement wasn't enough. All we needed for Paypal was our routing number and account number. This is nuts.  The payment tab works finally now and again if you have the patience to login a ton of times. Now I can't change my payout/automatic payout to my bank account. Says it's pending??????? Since they already approved my bank account (finally) why did they select my credit card instead????? Getting really tired of this. Who can wait 266 minutes for a return call from their help center?

They're signing up 1000's at a time and I'm sure trying not to overload the system........

Registering, and activation (switching over) are 2 different things.

They have been encouraging some to get registered, and then sending a notification of when they will be activated later down the road.

Wife had to register up by X/XX.  Was over a month before activated.

It's a nightmare.

Quitting In Feb 2021 when store sub up. Been here 20 years. 

Signed up for daily deposits barely get 3 a week. Yet sell 2to3 a day.
