I want to delete my account altogether. I hate that eBay is done with PayPal. It has been in the works for a while but I’m not happy about eBay taking another THREE percent of MY sales!! I thought the 10% was already too high now they want more??? My sales totals are a joke. I hardly see any profit after my initial cost, shipping and fees. I also hate the fake eBay gurus who lie and say you can make a living by shopping at the thrift store. Most sellers are dropshipping and wholesaling for cents on the dollar just to make a profit.
I miss when this **bleep** was a spot for rare and vintage finds. Anybody else ready to walk?

As a gambler in your 'saloon', I'd like to refer to the moniker.....You've got to know when to roll, know when to fold. know when to walk away and know when to RUN. My decision was easy and oh so revitalizing.

Ebay got GREEDY ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO. The fees might be the same but Ebay will hold your money for "one to four days". They will lend out overnight 80% of their average daily balance and pay you nothing as they lend out your $$$. I have been on Ebay for almost 20 years and will close my account by the end of the year. FWS Antiques

I love your posts. You are sooo motivated, positive and pro-active! I started selling here 16 years ago when my husband was diagnosed with kidney failure and had to go on dyalisis. We had traveled extensively in the past and had quite a collection of memorabilia and decided to put several pieces on e-bay. They literally sold overnight. Consequently, we turned a nightmare existence into an exciting and fun-loving hobby and for this I will be eternally grateful to e-bay. As of late, as things have changed, I too must move on and I'm making inroads to accomplish my goals and looking forward to this new journey.
Best oif good luck to you in your endeavors.

In Managed Payments (MP) PP will no longer be the funds processor for eBay.
eBay will use its funds processor (Adyen) to process buyer payments, and then once the payment clears it will be sent to the checking account provided by the seller using the "payout" schedule selected by the seller."Default is "daily" (M-F) with available funds being paid out. Daily does not mean a seller gets paid the day of purchase, of every day. Only funds processed, and "available" will be in the "payout". Click on "payments" tab in the sellers hub to see status of funds.
Buyers will still be able to use PP for their purchases.
As you are already in MP, some reading may be in your future.

Here in the US the fees are not increasing because of MP. For non store owners before coming into MP the fees are 10.2%. Once you are in MP then the money processing fee is added to that of 2.35% [PayPal charges 2.9%] for a total of 10.2% + 2.35% = 12.55% which is slightly lower than it was BEFORE MP.
For those NOT in MP it would be the 10.2% + 2.9% PayPal fee for a total of 13.10%. That is a 0.55% difference.
I don't know if it is different on the UK site.

Shamefully eBay has become very greedy. How much more do you need to make???
I am also closing my eBay store because it just not worth it.
I am based in Europe and just to give you an example on what you have to pay to eBay.
I sold three items to someone in Singapore for a total of $610 including shipping costs.
The total fees I have to pay is $111,44
But they have to pay me in Euro's so they also earn on the exchange rate.
So $610 - $111,44 = $498,56 and in euro this would be €440,53
But because of the exchange rate they pay me €427,27
In the end I pay around 21% on Fees to eBay AND I still have to deduct the shipping costs of this amount.
This is ridiculous for small business especially in Europe selling on eBay.com
My Advice is just leave and sell elsewhere where they have reasonable fees.

Year-old thread. OP is still wrong about fees.

Ebay is a FOR PROFIT corporation. To my knowledge there is no ceiling on what ANY Corporation can or should earn.
I sure don't understand why some think Ebay is "greedy" for earning profits when each and EVERY seller, to include you come to their site to use their services in an effort to earn PROFITS too. We are all here for the very same reason, earn money. So if Ebay is greedy, so are ALL the sellers. There is no difference. Sellers don't have a right to earn a profit and Ebay does not.
I don't know about fees in Europe, I'm a US seller and MP did not raise fees in the US on most transactions. Some categories did get an increase, but most did not. You seem to want to blame Ebay for the Exchange Rate, but in reality Ebay has NO CONTROL over that. Ebay doesn't set those rates or control them in any way. You really should know that.
Shipping is completely separate and NOT ever part of what Ebay is responsible for paying. It is the seller's responsibility to charge the buyer enough to cover their shipping costs whether they do Free Shipping or stated shipping. It is your responsibility to price it correctly, again Ebay has nothing to do with that.
The fees in MP have NOT increased overall fees. The following numbers represent those that do not have a store and the fee rate for most common categories [not all].
Fees BEFORE going into MP
10.20% FVF + 2.9% PP fees = 13.10% plus 30 cent per transaction fee.
In MP the fees are:
10.20% FVF + 2.35% money processing fee paid to MP = 12.55% plus a 30 cent per transaction fee.
Starting August 2nd, PayPal is raising their fees, so they will be as follows:
10.20 Ebay FVF + 3.49 PP Fee = 13.69% plus .49 cent Per Transaction fee
PP is apparently offering different fees to different sellers, likely depending on size. From what I've seen it is between 2.59% and 3.49%.
