When I pay via payal it automatically charges a specific credit card

Help!! First, ebay help sucks. And calling them is even worse. 

Previously: I pay via paypal, then I choose which credit card to use.

Now: I pay via paypal and it auctomatically charges one of the specific cards. 

I tried to remove this, but PP keeps directing me to ebay commerce, and vice versa.

Sounds to me like it is on the PP end.

Don't think eBay has an option/ability to choose what payment source is used from your PP when you purchase.

default that is showing on PP would likely be used.

Someone will post and tell you how to get around this PayPal issue. There is a way.

Time to think about simplifying your use of Ebay by eliminating PayPal from your payments.

Is this happening when you make a 'normal' purchase (buy it now) or win an auction, or when you must provide a payment method prior to bidding/making an offer?

On Ebay. Go to My Ebay - Account - Payment Information Payments. There you can add or delete cards or bank accounts used by Ebay to send you payments, ebay takes their fees from, charge for orders, and etc.

Go to your PayPal Wallet and set the card you want to use as your 'Preferred method of payment while shopping online'.

Making a separate one for PayPal and Ebay. I won't be able to show screen shots for PayPal. Too much personal information.

I'm doing everything through the website not the Ebay or PayPal app. It is easier for me to get around on the websites than the apps.

Editing: Just click on Wallet link at the top menu. It will take you to a page that will show you where all your cards are linked. Select a card or bank account. Then you can add, remove, or set as preferred method to use.

I know when I'm buying something through PayPal, and need to change payment method on PayPal. I always look for the tiny change payment method.

I got the answer!! (doing the happy dance!!). First, thank you all, as several of your replies were correct. I had to go to ebay, go under "Hi MIchael" and click account settings. Then I removed Paypal from my payment types. Now I go to pay on ebay and paypal comes up, but I get to choose the credit card I want to use.

Another note, here is the real eBay phone number. I was on hold for 12 mintues, but nonetheless...(866) 540-3229.

   As others have suggested or.....What I did was log into my PayPal account separate from Ebay (I don't know if that matters or not, just the way I did it) and removed all but one payment method. 

   I also ordered once from a site I haven't bought from in years and when checking out with PayPal an address from years ago I don't live at anymore showed up as the delivery address. 

   It seemed no matter how I tried to change the delivery address accessing PayPal through said website it wouldn't work. Once again I logged in separately from that website and deleted the old address.

   Logging into PayPal separately solved my problems.....It might work for you too.............
