What does Funds On Hold" Awaiting Authentication mean? How do I get my money from a sale?

I sold an item on eBay. The buyer paid, I shipped the item myself (not through ebay) with UPS and entered the tracking number in eBay tracking. The status for the item shows "Funds on hold: awaiting authentication". What does this mean? How do I get my money released?

If you didn't ship to the provided address you deserve to get ripped off.

Since no one mentioned this, I would get to UPS and have then reroute the package if it hasn't delivered yet. It might cost you. If item has been delivered, I have a feeling that you are going to be taken since buyer might claim non-delivery.
