Contact your credit card company and dispute the charge.

You may not even have to call them. Most will do it right on the computer, just go to the transaction and see if there is a dispute option.

Who else has access to your credit/debit card? Someone in the household? A friend? A relative?
If your statement said the debit was from "Ebay Orchard L2," what "merchant" did you contact? And how did you contact that merchant?

I would be more worried about who is illegally using your account and card.
Report this to ebay and your bank.

Ebay can trace IP address to see who actually purchased the item and go after them.
Unfortunately the seller will be the one to lose out in the end.

eBay isn't going to "go after" a person who may OR may not have used a card without permission. Where did you get that idea? How, exactly, would eBay "go after" this buyer?
