Unable to make a payment for an item

I tried lot of times to make a payment for an item using my master card. But the payment was declined. Is there any special reason for that?

Sri Lanka government has reported that at times some banks in Sri Lanka will be limiting foreign transactions, that why your payment was declined.

You can link the bank card to paypal. Then you can pay on ebay through pay pal.

Hello, you have not asked if the OP is trying to pay with a debit or a credit card. Sri Lanka allows you to attach a credit card not a debit card to PayPal.

eBay allows debit and credit card payments so the problem is not that they need to pay with PayPal,  instead they need to find out why their bank is declining the payment and fix that.
