My level of disgust with this company has been rapidly growing over the course of the last year. I wont use this discussion to rant about everything, but I am incredibly frustrated with eBay's new payment/payout policy for a number of different reasons (such as paying their ~12-14% fee on collected sales tax), but the newest gripe I have is that UPS labels are not posting to my account in payout transactions for 10-12 days after label is purchased despite me checking the box for the cost of the label to be deducted from pending payouts. After 10 days, eBay has long sense sent me a payout for the original item. I am not a large volume seller and am using eBay to supplement my paycheck and be able to pay for things such as food, rent, and utilities. eBay then claims I have an insufficient amount in my account and deducts it straight from my bank account. This has caused a number of $25 insufficient funds fees in my bank account as I am living paycheck to paycheck. I have tried calling and "chatting with an agent", but they are apparently "experiencing issues" and WILL NOT allow you to contact an agent under any circumstance. How can I fix this issue before I have a full blown aneurysm? Am I incompetent, or does eBay's new payouts scheme just suck this bad and there is nothing I can do about it? Please advise, thanks!

The way I understand UPS and FedEx labels, they do not actually get charged to your account until the item is delivered and all additional fees have been assessed, unlike USPS labels where the money is taken out right away. Unfortunately I don't think there is a way to "fix" this, I think that is the way it is intended to be because of the way UPS and FedEx labels work.

I'd look at using an outside service- "stamps.com" or "shipstation"- - I'm sure there are others. It's MUCH easier to track the money spent on shipping outside of ebay.

Leave enough in the checking account to cover the shipping fee's.

Ok, this makes a lot of sense. I really dislike eBay's new handling of fees and payouts. Its nice in someways, but highly frustrating in others. Thanks for the helpful input!

Not really helpful advice lol. I am obviously aware this would solve the issue, but does not address the root of the issue like I was asking for. The real solution was posted by yuzuha.
