Still have not got the sign up for managed payments

I really do not sell many things but I still have not got any email about switching over to the managed payments service....I thought they wanted  everyone switched over by the end of 2020 ?.....maybe the covid situation has slowed this process ??

you will get an invite like every one else that sells on ebay. they will give you a little time to set it up. and if you dont, you dont sell, anything, on  ebay. period.  now what better deal could you want?

Oh, come on!  eBay gives weeks of advance notice.  I get it that some don’t like MP, but let’s not throw out false statements.

weeks , months , days. everyone has their own interpretation of time, unless its stated exactly to the minute how long  and then theres a whole lot of people that are still gonna think thats not long enough but in the end he is going to MP or he wont be selling on ebay i would suffice to say.

I still haven't gotten an invitation.  I only knew about it when I came here over the weekend to find an answer to a shipping question.  Then, today I tried to change some shipping options and it wouldn't let me do anymore until I signed up.

I wonder if maybe it's because I opted out of the marketing emails from ebay?

I never received an email for sign up either. Today when I was trying to list an item I was not allowed to unless I signed up. Took less than a few minutes to do.

Go to HELP and search MANAGED PAYMENTS (there will be link for you to sign up).  MANAGED PAYMENTS is mandatory if you want to continue selling on EBAY.  This is new payment management system (they stopped using PayPal).

Important thing to know...name on CHECKING ACCOUNT, SS# and EBAY Profile Page (must be EXACT MATCH).   If names don't match...your registration will not go through.   After you have been approved EBAY will send you email when you account goes live for MANAGED PAYMENTS.

With MANAGED PAYMENTS is takes 3-5 days for money to be deposited into your CHECKING ACCOUNT.    EBAY deducts for shipping & EBAY fees (whatever is leftover is deposited into your account).  

Because no money goes into your PayPal account anymore (you need to switch SHIPPING LABELS and MONTHLY STATEMENT to Managed Payments.   Next time you print label, go to the bottom of the page (click on box to switch to Managed Payments.   Need to switch your Monthly Statement to MP also.

You do NOT need to keep money in your checking account to cover shipping costs (EBAY takes that "off the top" from the money that is due you).

Not so much anymore.  They have really changed the structure of the emails they send and how much advance notice is given.  The emails have no links to info on what MP even is.  Unless they heard many of us yelling about that omission and they have fixed it.  But it has vastly changed over the winter.

No they just have millions of sellers to onboard and they slowed the process down a bit.  It will likely be mandatory for everyone by the end of the year.
