It is apparent at least to me that eBay is slowing up payments to sellers. I for one will not send out an item that has not hit my bank account. Previously, when an item hit your PayPal account you knew to ship out the item. I will not do that now. I will wait until the money actually hits my bank account. Then, I will ship out the item. I have an item that will be delivered on 6/28/21 and I have not been paid as of 6/28/21. It is a case where the buyer has the item but it has not been paid for. I got a message that eBay has the funds and it is ok to send out the item.
In the future I will not ship until the funds are in my bank account. This could affect my seller rating. I know it is an attempt to increase float to their account at the expense of sellers. In the past I had control of the funds and when I sent out the item.

1. You will be hit with INR's and that can damage your account, not to mention buyers are not willing nor should they have to wait.
2. Shipping can be paid for using pending funds and as soon as eBay tells you to ship your payment is guaranteed.
3. You are a new seller so the fund holding is standard eBay procedure (normally 21 days) but you can contact eBay to try to get it released earlier
4.
Paypal fronted the money to the seller before it was even cleared to them, so we all got happy and comfortable with that - now Adyen as a financial banking institution (PP was Not a bank) are bound by banking laws and can not do that, so we wait until funds are in our banks.

I'm awaiting a shipment from a seller who's doing exactly what you've said you're going to do. You might want to reconsider:
Ordered: June 17th
Marked shipped: June 19th
Label actually purchased: June 24th
Expected delivery (per USPS): Tomorrow
This is only a W.A.G., but it appears that the seller marked my item as shipped manually so as to avoid a late shipping hit, then actually bought the label a week later, after he got his payout from eBay.
I purchase this same item regularly, but I won't be buying from this seller again.

Thank you so much.

Not a real good idea, but it is your decision.

But we are contracted with eBay and eBay is contracted with Adyen. We would never put our funds into a foreign owned bank that could walk away without any recourse after giving the "power of attorney" to your bank account. eBay needs to really look at how this is changing the markets view of them.

I don't think eBay cares about the markets view of them as many selling platforms use Adyen as do many HUGE companies. They are finishing transitioning sellers into MP by end of 2021 , so I don't see them back pedalling now.
Bottom line is - you do not have to switch to MP if you don't want to, or if you just don't trust it.

In addition to the good advice from @downunder-61 , be sure you mark your handling time to cover the days you plan to wait to ship. It will impact sales, as most buyers don't want to wait 5 or 6 days before shipment, but it will provide some slight protection for your account. Weigh the pros and cons of the impact of that on your business. Also, I just want to repeat that in Managed Payments, once eBay tells you to ship, you are guaranteed of getting your payment. It works so differently now that we don't have PayPal, but I personally think it works very well. It took quite a while to get used to though. Go to your Payments tab and click on the icon to see "All transactions". It will show you right there when the funds will go from the "Processing" status to "Completed". Once completed they become "Available" funds used for Payouts.
