I am being charged for a reserved item fee yet the item was removed directly after posting because of a mistake that was made. How can I dispute this or avoid this charge before it comes out of my bank?

You can't, the fee is charged as soon as you submitted the listing and due even when the item doesn't sell.
It's best to start the auction at the price you want.

Reserve fees are a listing upgrade fee that is charged at the time of listing, and is owed whether or not the item sells.
As far as I know, the only way to dispute it is to contact customer support and hope they grant a courtesy credit.

You don't get those fees back. The reserve is a waste of money anyway. Many bidders won't even bid such listings as they don't want to play guess the amount. Just set a minimum opening bid price. That costs nothing extra.
Long ago you could call eBay and beg. They often allowed one in your life time. Not sure they do that anymore. You could try and contact them but, don't get your hope up.

They are entering class action lawsuit territory with that. It's a deceptive practice, and they aren't delivering anything of value if you cancel the auction. The fine print people are corporate shills. Long ago, eBay wouldn't have tried something this greedy. I stopped using eBay because the marketplace was becoming littered with creeps. Now it's these ridiculous policies.

"If I had a dollar every time someone said that..."
You'd have about a million dollars by now. Favorite catch phrase on the boards, right up there with 'scam', and 'illegal'.
