On two occasions I have bought and paid for an item on Ebay. Without any request on my part the seller has made a refund and stated that the item has been sold ! I just don't get this. How can the payment go through and then afterwards the seller say that the item has gone? Surely once the item has been bought and paid for that's the end of the contract and all that's left is the seller's obligation to deliver ?
