Refund on managed payments has messed up my payout amount?

I have been selling on eBay for a short time (October 2020). So far I’ve had an ok experience with some frustrations when it comes to funds. I’ve had one payout since signing up for managed payments (I made the mistake of not waiting until it was required). That payout was fine, all was well and good. Yesterday a buyer purchased a game and he immediately wanted to cancel. I sent a cancellation request within a few minutes. It was successfully cancelled but now my second scheduled payout is messed up. I’m supposed to be getting about $30. My payout for January 15th states that I get $9.50. In the included transactions it lists two purchases giving me about $30 and it also lists the refunded item (about $21 net). There are two records of the item, one saying that it’s processing with +21.. and the other showing the refund

-$21.. Will I see that $21? And why do I need to wait for another payout if so? Why didn’t they just take the $21 that wasn’t processed yet and give it back to the buyer? Why take it out of my processed funds so I wait another 2-7 days for this payout to hit my bank account?

On the holds due to cancel or refunds........they've usually cleared out in 24-36 hrs....so if you have daily payouts, it could delay some part of available payments for 2 days or so.

I agree that it's poor accounting, at least from our standpoint.......if the amt is on hold, when the hold is refunded.......that should clear out the hold, not affect the other money.   I posted a question about it on the payments board and flagged the new team for an answer yesterday, but so far no answer.
