Purchase

I added 3 items from the same seller to my cart.  On every item they are selling in states to wait for a  invoice for combined shipping.  The sellers info says it's done automatically.   I have been waiting days and have reached out to seller with no response meanwhile ebay keeps sending me alerts to pay or transaction may be cancelled...help any suggestions?

Re: Purchase

If you have not paid, go to your cart with the items and look for the "request total" link.

It's very small and usually located at the top above the item list totals.  Click that, and the seller will be alerted to send you a combined shipping invoice.

Re: Purchase

I have it set up in my Ebay store business policies to automatically calculate the combined shipping discount when buyer checks out.

This eliminates the need for the buyers to "Request Total".

Re: Purchase

Ugh, that's so frustrating. Really sorry you're going through this with a seller. Ok, so if you don't pay for the items, then you'll get an unpaid item strike (or strikes), which will limit the number of sellers you can purchase from in the future.

Assuming it's been at least 3 days, basically all you can do at this point is pay for the items, then message the seller and let them know you'll need a refund on the excess shipping paid (per the description), or you want to cancel your order.

If the seller continues to ignore you, then you can open an item not as described case once you receive the items, then return them for a full refund. If they never arrive, open an item not received case.

It’s always possible something happened with the seller and they don’t have access to their account - that’s no excuse, but you will get all your money back if you properly follow the steps in the eBay Money Back Guarantee.

If you have already purchased them and just haven't yet paid for them, they will no longer be in your shopping cart.

@popblox Excellent advice.  I'd just add a couple things.  The buyer would only get one unpaid strike for this transaction even though they purchased a couple of items.  It will take 2 unpaid strikes before they will start seeing that some sellers will block them from being able to purchase from them, depending on how the seller has their site preferences set up.

I would add that if the OP goes ahead and pay the seller, yes as you suggested they should send an email to the seller requesting a refund on the over payment of shipping.  I would also add to that one little thing.  Put that same message ON THE PAYMENT, the seller can't miss that if you do it.  It is very prominent in our paid orders if the buyer put a note on the payment.
