Ever since I switched to managed payments I've had an extremely difficult time adding money to my Paypal account from my bank account. I have 3 regular debits going out of my Paypal account and I need to add money since Ebay sales money is not going in there any more. But since December every time I try to log in and add money I get an error message that says "Something is not working right now." I've only been able to make it work one time in January. Like dozens of attempts. No dice. And Paypal customer service practically doesn't even exist any more. I was able to get through to them on the phone once but the problem came back. Now I can't get then on the phone. They say they're too busy so I can't get a customer rep. It's been over a week since I sent them a message asking for help and they just won't reply. I keep messaging them. No reply. This is just madness. This Paypal company has just gone to hell. Are me punishing me for switching to managed payments? Is anyone else who switched to managed payments having a problem adding money to their Paypal account? Because I just can't get it done and I don't know what to do. They just won't help me. I'm in the position of closing my Paypal account and going through the hassle of transferring those 3 debits to my main bank account. After 20 years as a customer these incompetent idiots at Paypal are going to lose. I don't want to do it. They're forcing my hand. If I can't get any money in there this service is useless to me.

Have you tried posting this on the PayPal community discussion forum? Maybe some users there can help.

I did post on that board but I just got it resolved on the phone. And yes, it is related to my switching to Ebay managed payments. If regular payments stop going into your Paypal account they automatically add an additional security procedure to your account. To add money now I must have a customer rep on the phone send a security code to my phone. Then I can use my computer to add the money.

"Are me punishing me for switching to managed payments?"
I doubt it.
I feel your pain!
But a corporation that fails at/ignores addressing customer's usage problems has serious problems, whatever their excuse is, imo.
I stopped keeping "cash" in my paypal account, instead, I keep one credit card as the payment source, including one reoccurring debit, and the card numbers are set virtual so the real card number is unavailable to vendors.
That is about the only reason I use paypal anymore.

That seems silly. I didn't realize that it would be 'security risk' to put money into an account.

"To add money now I must have a customer rep on the phone send a security code to my phone. "
Shouldn't that be automatic, as in two factor authentication? Paypal told you you would have to call each time for the code? How absurd.

Instead of adding money to your Paypal account balance, have you considered putting a debit or credit card in your Paypal wallet to cover these charges?
It sounds like these charges would be considered by Paypal to be pre-approved or automatic payments.
Log in to your Paypal account & navigate to the pre-approved / automatic payments page.
Open the one for each of the payees & set your card as the backup payment method to be used if your balance is insufficient.
