Please explain the Returns process in Managed Payments (Negative Balance)

So I did try researching this before coming here to ask you all but I'm still a little confused so maybe somebody can give me some further explanation on this.  So buyer opens a return request. I've already spoken with the buyer and agree to the return due to the circumstances, no problem. My Available Funds is now negative $330.00 because of the return.

I guess my main question is how does this affect my current/future sales? From my understanding, I thought the refund would be coming out of my bank account with the Managed Payments system? Obviously I plan on refunding the customer once I receive the item back but what will happen with payment from future sales...now that my Available Funds is negative? Won't my sales essentially just be "correcting" the negative balance? Where does the refund come into play?

Sorry if this is a silly question, I'm just utterly confused by this. Thank you all.

Please explain the Returns process in Managed Payments (Negative Balance)

It's not a silly question. If your account remains negative it will come out of your bank account, you will get an email from ebay saying that. However, if you have sales before that happens it will come out of your pending amount. So say you sell $200 the balance of $100 will come out of your bank account.

Actually, it's a little worse than that. Indeed the entire refund amount would be coming out of my bank account, if my Available Funds is still negative at that point despite gains due to a few more sells.

Then a few days later, eBay will restore the amount eBay removed that originally caused my Available Funds to drop into the negative. So

For every refund-on-return, eBay subtracts twice, then adds once.
