I'm trying to buy a macbook air from ebay. And I'm using ebay gift cards for payment. They cards take money off my purchase, which then equals to $0 and I hit purchase then the error message shows "Please check your payment details or use a different payment option." anyone know why? or a fix

That's odd. It sure looks like you're ready to 'Confirm and pay' to me... but wait for other posters. Hmmm... 🤔

yea, it is odd. I'll just wait if I can't get a solution. Might be the ebay's website, I'm not sure

I went on the verified askebay on twitter for help but they want me to send my ebay gift card number, Don't really feel comfortable sharing that

YOU SURE DON'T. Stay away from any requests for your 'numbers' right now... sit tight for folks with real experience.

While you wait, go here >> eBay gift cards | eBay and enter your card number (about halfway down) to check the balance.

My guess is once you've inputted the cards, the REAL balance of those cards is not enough (or nothing) to cover the sale- since the last button you have to push is 'Confirm & Pay'. 

As stated by mtgraves; check the balance of those cards (usually a website or 800/866 etc. number on the back to do so with any 'gift' card.
