I've been using paypal to pay for my ebay purchases since as far back as 2013.  And never had any trouble until now, for the past week I haven't been able to make any purchases due to the same error.  I tried contacting paypal to ask what the problem was.  The agent said it could be the seller doesn't accept paypal payments or my bank isn't allowing the purchase.  But I have found neither of those reasons are true.  I tested to see if it was my bank, and found I was able to purchase on amazon with no problem, which tells me the bank is fine, and I know I have enough money in my act.  As for the sellers on ebay, I've also tried buying the same product from 4 different sellers, but still have the same error.  Also I tried making an order for a completely different product to see if it would go through, but still get the same error.  I know the problem is with paypal, but they seem to be giving me the run around.  I also noticed I'm not able to post on the paypal community for help on this issue.  

I know I can still make payments here using my credit or debit card.  But if I close my paypal account, is it still possible to make money selling here, or do I need to find another online payment processor?

Have you tried signing in to your PayPal account to see if you need to update any information there such as credit card expiration dates, or to sign a new user agreement or anything like that?

I was trying to reply to your post but it accidentally marked it as a solution.  I did try your suggestions to check if there was a change in the paypal agreement or check if one of my credit cards expired.  However there was no notice of change of agreement and the listed cards were still good for the next few years.  But I appreciate your ideas.  I will try contacting paypal one more time about it, and if they still are not able to fix the problem, I wont have anymore use for them.
