Hello eBay community members,

Verification documents of my Payoneer account are still under review. 😐 I want to know that by this time can I link my Payoneer account with eBay account.

@shopd_40, did you register your business in Sri Lanka first, and get an BFCA (Business Foreign Currency Account) and link that to your Payoneer Account?

According to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, it appears that people in Sri Lanka need to register as a business first, in order to be able to receive payments in foreign currency into a BFCA. Here's a link to their website, then click on CAN YOU ACCEPT FOREIGN CURRENCY AS EARNINGS FROM YOUR BUSINESS ACTIVITIES IN SRI LANKA?

Then, you need to register for eBay managed payments, and you will need to have (or create) a Payoneer account when you do that. Your bank account, Payoneer account and eBay account all need to match, so if your bank account is a business account, your Payoneer and eBay accounts have to be business accounts too, and your name and address have to be spelled exactly the same.  Payoneer will verify your identification documents, which may take a few days, or a few weeks.

For sellers in Sri Lanka, Managed Payments will be able to deposit your payments into your Payoneer account. Here's more information about managed payments for sellers outside the USA. Thank you @lacemaker3 for your perfect answer. 😊 I haven't registered my business, I'm selling on eBay as a sole proprietorship, so I don't need to register my business. I have linked my bank account with Payoneer account.

@shopd_40, that may not be good enough for you, as a seller based in Sri Lanka.

As I said before, it appears that people in Sri Lanka are only allowed to accept foreign currency for goods and services they sell, if the foreign money is deposited into an FCBA within 7 days, in compliance with the law in Sri Lanka. I think that you may need to have a business Payoneer account (and eBay account) in order to comply with this requirement. All of the accounts have to be the same type; your bank account, Payoneer and eBay accounts.

HI Guys, 
i need your ideas too. I am a Sri Lankan, currently residing in Saudi. I just started ebay dropshipping. and happened to create a business account in ebay which then asked me to link a payoneer account.  i created the payoneer account as sole proprietor yesterday evening. But payoneer still didnt send me an email to submit the required documents.

My question is ;  will payoneer ask for business registrations, business address proof etc?? 

i do not have a registered business here. i believe for sole proprietorship category they usually ask only individuals identity proof.(eg: passport etc..)  or will they require business reg docs as well?

I will open a payoneer account and wait for three weeks until it is registered. It has not yet been approved. What can I do to get it approved? Please help

I you have provided all the documents and they are all correct, then you just have to wait.

If you have any questions about getting your Payoneer account approved, you need to ask Payoneer.

you can link your payooner account  ,after linking to ebay all of your documents will be approved...my driving liscene also didin't approved for three weeks and i just linked up my payooner account and they approved all of my documents within 2 days

IF ID is comfirmed then go to link ur account to Ebay through trying to sell first item and they offer u to link ur payoneer account.After all follow the shown steps

we are still waiting Payoneer will review your documents. we also have submitted on 26 May 2022, we are worry about it because ebay are still sending email for account verification
