Paying back refunded money

Hi,

     I purchased an item which was due 30/04/21.

Nothing arrived so contacted seller. Told postal delay?

Same day icon on EBay changes to posted/sent.

A week goes by and nothing? 
Contacted them again and told item was sent.

So nothing arrived so I decided to request refund.

Nothing from seller.

So EBay notified and refund issued today May 14th.

Then knock at door and postman has my package which had only been sent 11/05/21.

I then notify seller and EBay and was told by EBay to send the seller the money by PayPal.

But no contact as of yet from seller.

How do I send the money back with no details????

I had a similar situation not too very long ago. 

It was suggested to me that since the item had already been refunded, eBay no longer was involved. Another person then suggested just sending a check to the seller using the return address on the package. 

I wrote a short note on a copy of the original order that I printed out and let the seller know to expect it via eBay messages and all is now right by both of us.

I've had this happen 3 times and in all 3 times I thanked them for the gesture and gave them my PP and received funds via PP friends/family (formerly known as PayPal Gift)
