Am I saving money by Ebay collecting my money and not PayPal? I thought PayPal did a better job when they were involved but I know they charged an additional over Ebay fees.

The FVFs are actually about a wash. You're making money, since eBay allows sellers to use Managed Payments, though.

At this point it really does not matter, Pay-Pal collecting money is a moot point. The total fees between eBay FVF and PPs processing fees were pretty close to what you are paying now for non store sellers and depends on in what category your items are being sold in.

The answer is complicated - but it was essentially a wash on average.

Especially when you consider that in August, PayPal increased their fees by 20% (from 2.9% to 3.49%).
