PayPal Divorce

I've been on eBay since 2003. The decision to end their relationship with PayPal means I am now a former eBay seller. I will take my business elsewhere.

Re: PayPal Divorce

I've been on since 1998, and selling since 1999.  I was slow to adopt PayPal and remember insisting on checks and money orders, and printing shipping labels by copying-and-pasting poorly written addresses out of e-mails, or worse, trying to make out someone's handwriting in the letter sent with the check in the mail!  Then I'd have stuff set out all over the house marked with dates for when the checks would likely be cleared and it would be safe to ship.  Then I'd take all of those packages to the post office and have them weighed and have postage affixed one at a time while holding up the line behind me.  My point is that PayPal was a big change for me, but I eventually came around, and found that it solved so many problems in exchange for some fees that ended up being worth paying.  I was disappointed to hear about having to move away from PayPal that had worked so well for me, for so many years, but I've been on Managed Payments for a few months, and while there are a few hiccups and things to get used to, I'm still chugging along and it is going okay.  It isn't making a lot of difference for me.  Everything I do, as far as creating listings, printing shipping labels, and packing and shipping is exactly the same.  The flow of money is a bit different, but it's not really worse, just different.  As I look back, I sure wouldn't use this as a reason to give up!
