PAYOUTS...

Am I the only one that was walking around in the dark about this? We know Ebay allows various payout schedules. I currently am using weekly payouts since it's free and I have the option for express payout by paying the $2 fee. But..............did you know that if your payouts are going to your card...rather than directly into your bank account...you STILL get charged $2...even on the weekly!!?? I had no idea. Such a sneaky money grab by Ebay. I'll have to test and see what the difference in time is for funds clearing if I just allow them to go to the bank account.

Re: PAYOUTS...

Where does that deduction show up separate in your checking account? Or is it inluded in your total amount on the breakdown of the fees you have to pay before its sent to your checking? I'm curious if I ever saw that. Thanks for letting us know!

Re: PAYOUTS...

I have 'Express Payouts' and they come on Tuesdays.

Otherwise, if I want the 'available funds' immediately it is $2.00.

There is no charge otherwise...debit card is connected to the banking account(checking).

Debit and bank account are the same...they have the same routing number...

Re: PAYOUTS...

I have my payouts coming every Tuesday also with Express Payouts but eBay has been charging me $2.00 each time. My payouts are linked to my check card.

Re: PAYOUTS...

Is your check card a 'major bank' like Wells Fargo or such?

Re: PAYOUTS...

It's a mid-tier local community bank. eBay sends  me a message each time my payout is sent on Tuesday that $2.00 has been deducted.

Re: PAYOUTS...

That's the way your local community bank operates.

Need to join a big bank.

Wells Fargo doesn't charge me and when I request payouts in available funds it takes like 5 seconds for 2 bucks.

Like today my funds were sent for free as usual which is weekly on Tuesdays.

Re: PAYOUTS...

On my last statement that eBay sent me on Today they added a "Express Payout Fee" of $2.00. I did not request an Express Payout.

Re: PAYOUTS...

Sorry, I was distracted on my last post. What I meant to say was that eBay charged me a $2.00 fee for "Express Payout" today. I'll contact my bank but I have never had them charge me like this before.

Re: PAYOUTS...

Check your payout settings and see if the money is going to your debit card....or your bank account. Two separate things. If it's going to your card---you're gonna get charged!

Re: PAYOUTS...

Yes....because your weekly pay is going directly to your account...not to your debit card or whatever card you may be using on the site.

Re: PAYOUTS...

nope. Ebay has your debit card #.....but for free deposits, they need your checking/savings or whatever....just like you'd give a job for direct deposit. Express payouts are the "immediate" ones with the $2 fee.

Re: PAYOUTS...

If you notice the total being sent to you in the payout.....you'll see the $2 deduction. That is....if it's going to your debit card.
